re: people saying that everyone below 3.5 is getting killed in NY, it's not true. It's just that people with high grades are more willing to shout their GPA from the rooftops. There are also presumably fewer sub-3.5 kids who are doing okay in NY; being easily identifiable makes people more reluctant to share.

If you look at the other thread, though, there are also plenty of 3.5ish people not yet getting CBs in NY either.
