Sorry if this has been asked before but I cannot figure out how to search effectively on this forum for the life of me
I have a writing sample from my summer position that I am going to use as my OCI screener sample. I am not sure what the best way is to replace all the sensitive information. Here is what I have done so far:
[Supervisor], Associate Counsel in place of Joe Smith, Associate Counsel
[Entity name] in place of my summer employer
The format is what I put above, new generic name in brackets. Is this an acceptable way to sanitize my writing sample, or is there a preferred method out there that I am not aware of?
Thanks!

This is fine. Just replace all names of people, businesses, etc. with made-up names. Also, get rid of any docket numbers or other similiar information. And change addresses and dates.Anonymous User wrote:Sorry if this has been asked before but I cannot figure out how to search effectively on this forum for the life of me

Have you cleared this with your employer?
Depending on what the document is simply changing names and dates might not mask much.
