No WUSTLers out there? I know there are a few firms with callbacks out already. I'll bump this once but if no one's I'll around I'll just let it die.

i think there are callbacks happening... but i also think that people are afraid that not enough callbacks have happened for people to be willing to stick their necks out for fear that they will identify themselves...

Re: WUSTL EIW 2012
Yeah that's a fair point. I've only heard from a few people, in confidence, that they received callbacks. And it can be helpful for people worrying about those firms (crushing, but still helpful) to know that Smith Smith & Jones or whoever has started doing callbacks. I was just more surprised that no one posted their stats, interviews, etc. before now. It seemed like last year a good number of people put their info out before interviews so others could follow along. I also suspect that we don't have quite as large of a following on here as the class of 2013 because our class shifted mostly onto facebook. Shame because TLS is great for job discussion; which obviously can't happen on facebook unless you're a tactless doofus.

So which firms have you heard about callbacks from (and by that I mean, have you heard about callbacks for Arnold & Porter or Paul Weiss)?

At least some of the callbacks have been made for SNR Denton, Honigman, and O'Melveny & Myers. Anyone heard of others?

Re: WUSTL EIW 2012
My concern is that there are way too few students even interviewing at OCI, so I want to be careful even mentioning anything. I've been seeing the same faces (30 or so?) throughout each day. A few new people pop in here and there for an interview or two, but largely the same set of folks are rotating to each firm.
FWIW, I know that at least one ding is out from O'Melveny and a callback from a firm not listed so far. I don't want to explain more because I think it may have been given face to face prior to the main set of callbacks going out.

Anyone else feel like they were just filling up a pre-select slot in every one of their interviews and had no legit shot, or it just me?

Re: WUSTL EIW 2012
I felt like that in a few of them. Seems like it's easy to tell from the actions of the interviewers. I interviewed with Sutherland today and I was surprised that one of the two dudes didn't fall asleep. Maybe I just have low confidence, but I was confused with some of the preselects that I got (as in why is this firm interviewing me/am I just filling a spot). But stranger things have happened, so I'll wait to pass judgment.Anonymous User wrote:Anyone else feel like they were just filling up a pre-select slot in every one of their interviews and had no legit shot, or it just me?

Re: WUSTL EIW 2012
I had quite a few preselects and almost all of my interviews I felt like I was annoying and/or wasting the interviewer's time. EIW is bumming me out.

Re: WUSTL EIW 2012
The same 30 kids have been doing all the interviews? That's really annoying. I can't fault anyone for pursuing as many options as they can, but I guarantee you there are top 10% kids who are interviewing with certain firms just because they can. And that irks me.
More likely it says something about how much of a TTT our school is that only 30 out of 240 students can get a decent handful of interviews. I wonder how many people in the top 1/3 or so have slowly come to the crushing realization over the past few weeks that they're screwed, despite their best efforts.
I hate this game.

I haven't heard anything from Hunton Williams, but the interviewer mentioned she was staying in town an extra day to catch a Cards game, so don't give up hope yet.Anonymous User wrote:has anyone heard from paul weiss, hunton williams or arnold & porter? you don't have to say which one... you could just say yes....

It'd be helpful if OP (or anon above) could keep a tally of firms with confirmed callbacks.Anonymous User wrote:Any movement?
