Bringing significant other to OCI Reception/social event?

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Aug 10, 2012 9:37 am

Hey all,

A few firms are hosting post-OCI receptions/social events. Does anyone ever bring their significant other to these kind of events? I'm especially curious because the hiring partner from a firm I'm very interested in went to a very close-knit undergraduate school that my girlfriend also went to.

I have an interview with them during the day, then this is like a pre-dinner type thing it seems like.

Don't bring them unless you're told (which you won't be).

I probably wouldn't, but your career services office can probably give you a better answer.

No. They are trying to get to know you and want you to get to know them. Your significant other is not yet a part of that picture.

I have one of these Pre-OCI reception things too and I was told only students that are interviewing are invited. No guests.
