Have you noticed the people dropping already? Do they notify you if you get scheduled off the waitlist?

How many interviews outside of your top 10? I have 3/7. These would seem to be the preselect bids.

13...top 20%. 6 outside the top 10 for me. Though I think preselects depend on market. You could have a dc/nyc firm 4 or 5 and need preselect to get them since they are so popular.

Split atl/dc, so quite happy. Didnt get my number 3 though, so was kinda surprised.

We had a few drop but ended up with around 90 firms. Most were slotted for around 19 interviews but there were outliers (one as high as 50, others 6-10).

How many firms did you guys have last year? On average, how many interviews were slotted for each? Would that even be a good indicator of whether OCI is better/worse this year?

Most of the firms that dropped were really specific small markets, I think.

9 firms here, top 20% mark or so.

I remember one dropped from a really specific city in Alabama (not Birmingham), one from a city in Kentucky, and another I don't remember. One of those firms only had 9 interview slots, so I think the split schedules for BBS and Latham pretty much evened it out.

Ah. I was targeting a decent-sized market West of Nash, got 2 interviews there despite using 8 of my top 10 on those firms. Also 2 from Nash and 5 from NY

What kind of stats have previous NY SA's had? Seems like the NY firms coming are pretty preftigious.

Number of screeners that students at a particular performance level get in a given year can be one index of how well OCI is going. Last year I think students at Vandy in top 30% or so averaged considerably more than than 10 (or under) screeners as far as I know. But I could be wrong about that, and it probably depends on markets bid, so essentially you are correct, it is not necessarily a sign that this year is worse than last year.

Interested in this for DC. Would like to know if I have a realistic shot at any of these firms.

It doesn't matter. Just do your best in each interview.

Rad, do a lot of people end up dropping interviews?

eta: I'm curious because a lot of people in my interviews have top grades but no connections to my target market and I'm curious if they will drop some when they realize they got all the interviews they ACTUALLY wanted!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
