White is nice because with a white shirt and a darkish suit you can get away with literally almost any reasonable tie. A blue shirt is definitely legitimate, but it's going to make your tie choice more hit or miss.

White is also definitely more classic interview attire, and arguably a bit more formal.

I like white because blue reminds me of mechanics unis.

I just checked and I think I only have one blue tie. I figure blue on blue is weird right? So white it is?

Dark Charcoal suit BTW.

White + blue + charcoal sounds nice.

In the surburbs. And it's a TTT hell. I had to print my resumes on an inket. I had to trade my brother so I have a bed to sleep on. And I have to get up at an ungodly hour to register for this thing tomorrow morning.

I'll be around all morning.

I'll be the one loudly making fun of the 2Ls who yell, HERE BUT I CAN'T TAKE IT to their name being announced in the alternate list.

Dude, white and blue are so beta. You need to rock the green so bitches know you be swimmin in so much dough it stained your threads. And solid gold tie.

Firms eat that shit up.

So...a poster who has spent the vast majority of his time on this site mocking and criticizing other posters for asking various questions about legitimate topics can ask an idiotic question about something so obvious with zero backlash because....? He has a siiiick post count?

If he's joking then he's a "troll" just like all the other trolls he's called out.

For some firms or practice groups, you're still judged as "quirky" if you don't wear white. I know of three firms in DC with practice groups that will ding you for wearing blue.

FWIW, the recruiting coordinator for a V100 firm in a large midwestern market mentioned that wearing blue is seen as "strange" and "not normal."

White is always the safest choice. Just wear white. Why would you ever want to risk a first impression on something as stupid as the color of a shirt?

White.

Blue with blue's a good look but white better for this. You're good to go.

Good Luck, bro on all accounts.

This waiting sucks.
