hospitality suite = screener?
anyone know of any instances of students getting screeners from visiting the hospitality suite and asking for one? I didn't get interviews at a few fairly large firms I wanted (Skadden, Gibson, Ropes, and Kirkland) from our lottery/bid process. Would it be worth it to spend my extra time (I have one day of no interviews during the program) to go to those suites, or is my time better spent going to suites of firms where I have already interviewed to show even more interest?

Hospitality suites can get you a screener, but you have to be up front about it. Go to the recruiting person, introduce yourself, tell them you were disappointed not to get a screener, and hand them your resume. If your stats are high enough, you may hear something, or you may not.

It's like approaching women - if you don't ask, the answer is no. If you do, it might be yes. And if its no, then fuck that bitch.

probably on the low end but I think I have a shot given their class sizes, 3.25-3.3 from CLS. Should I mass mail these firms too?Anonymous User wrote:are your stats within their range?

I've had some success emailing firms that I missed. I'm going to hit the hospitality suites for the ones that don't respond.Anonymous User wrote:email first or hospitality suite? Email would get me in earlier...?
