I don't know if I should specify a practice area. I have experience with both corporate and litigation. And I would be open to doing either at a big firm.
Currently at a mid-sized firm this summer. Got an offer for fall to stay on. Potential offer in future. But want Big law. I know the odds are low, but I am actually very qualified (4.0 2L year).
I am most interested in securities. But either on transactional or litigation side. I don't want to close any doors. But I also don't want to seem like I am not specifying a practice area since 3L hiring is usually practice group specific.
