This thread is obviously fucking retarded, but it raises a question I had in my mind the other day.
Do you guys think there might be a day when bringing up one's use of TLS on a resume or in a clerkship interview might be helpful? What we're doing on here is mentoring younger lawyers entering or growing up in the profession, which is one of the long-time traditions of the legal profession. Is there some way to show that we're into supporting the community without looking like a weirdo?

You can't become a mod if you ask to become one, as someone already told you. Besides, your inability to find this easily accessible information on you own should automatically disqualify you.chippa wrote:bump
Too bad, because being a mod here is highly respected by HYS. Shame really.

Most people would rather cloak themselves in anonymity. Ken is the only one who can take credit for TLS. I don't think being a poster on this forum is going to help you, unless possibly you are pitypike or arrow. Start a real world club for advice or your own blog or something. I don't think employers are impressed by TLS.johndhi wrote:This thread is obviously fucking retarded, but it raises a question I had in my mind the other day.

10,000+ posts ( only 1500 posts in the we debate beautiful women thread), provided on-topic advice to 0Ls seeking guidance on choosing between Ave Maria and Florida Coastal; argued that no one should pay sticker at Hastings or GW; reviewed personal statements for grammatical errors; educated people on the value of "ties" and the regional nature of legal employment; and, critiqued bidlists to maximimize OCI screeners. Avoided posting in the hip-hop thread even though I know that Eminem is still the bomb.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
