Do you have any relevant ties? Where did you spend this summer?

Family lives in Virginia. I have substantial work/internship related ties to DC.Anonymous User wrote: Do you have any relevant ties? Where did you spend this summer?
I have lots of extended family in ATL.
This summer I'm not working in ATL or DC.

Looks pretty good ATL wise (don't know anything about DC)... you should have a realistic shot at any firm except Bondurant ...
That being said... any reason why Troutman is so high? and any reason why Jones Day is so low? I'd consider them better than most of the ATL firms above them. Those seem odd to me. Especially Troutman at #2.

I probably prefer the culture/lifestyle at Troutman to that of Jones Day.Anonymous User wrote:Looks pretty good ATL wise (don't know anything about DC)... you should have a realistic shot at any firm except Bondurant ...

For ATL: You have Paul Hastings, which is a very sweaty and very specialized satellite office, ranked too high IMO. You also hit all the big firms and mysteriously left out Kilpatrick Stockton. I think Vault has them in the top 5 in Atlanta, if you value opinions like that.

Good to know about Paul Hastings, definitely not looking for firms that sweaty. Kilpatrick isn't coming to our OCI...neither is Mckenna.Anonymous User wrote:For ATL: You have Paul Hastings, which is a very sweaty and very specialized satellite office, ranked too high IMO. Re: Vandy Bidlist Critique
Vandy has a 3L and a class of 2012 grad that have worked in Jones Day's ATL office. You should reach out to them to get their perspective on the culture. I worked in a different Jones Day office and loved it, but don't have any personal experience with their ATL office.Anonymous User wrote:I probably prefer the culture/lifestyle at Troutman to that of Jones Day.Anonymous User wrote:Looks pretty good ATL wise (don't know anything about DC)... you should have a realistic shot at any firm except Bondurant ...
