Sidley, Ropes and Jones Day from Fordham
Top 15% from Fordham (just barely above 3.5), secondary journal, some legal work experience during college, k-jd. Are either Sidley, Ropes or Jones Day a waste of a bid? If no, is there a fair chance I would get an interview via preselect? (60% preselect, 40% lottery)

Jones Day NY typically does most recruiting from the T6 schools, along with Penn. Approximately 2/3 of the summer class comes from T6 + Penn. That isn't to say they wont take a look at some top people from the other NY schools. I believe we have 2 Cardozo people and a Pace kid, so id imagine they would at least take a look at a top Fordham student.

The Fordham SAs at Ropes run the gamut of standard Law Review, to Secondary Journal + Moot Court.
You just have to give it a shot if you like Ropes enough. Once in the initial screener, Ropes tends to weigh personality/fit moreso than grades.
