Median (~3.3), secondary journal, good internship this summer, work experience, top undergrad. 30% lottery. What firms should I move up/down on my list? Thanks!

What's the WE like? Wilmer might be a wasted lottery bid at median without LR.

Prestigious WE seems to help with WH, but they also tend to be real grade snobbish, just FYI

Not to get you down, brother, but you have a slim chance of getting anything through OCI with those stats. Do it anyway, but start networking immediately if you really want a biglaw SA.

i don't think it looks too bad.
I went to BC. medianish people in my class got into sullivan worcester and reimer ... etc. because of their pre-law experience in accounting/banking.

Thanks for looking. I realize landing something through OCI is a longshot. I'll move Wilmer down, play around with the list a bit more, and let you all know how things turn out. Any other feedback would be great!

Not to overly boost your thinking but I have heard anecdotal evidence of people closer to median still getting a position through BU OCI.

My advice: Ignore the big three in Boston, focus on everyone else, make sure to do the NY off-campus interviewing program, and most importantly CRUSH THE INTERVIEW.

Seriously. With your WE I think your biggest gains will come from nailing your interviews. As another BU rising 2L, good luck man.

Median at BU no LR going to Latham, Jones day, or Weil seems like too big of a reach.

Skadden, Ropes, Jones Day, Latham, and Weil seem like huge reaches...especially that low on the list (if this is in bidding order). You're not going to get a lottery interview with any of those firms if they're at the bottom of the list. Even if you happened to get a lottery interview, I think it would be a waste at median, even with your strong WE. Also, I'd move Dechert and Cooley up (again, if this list is in bidding order).
