OCI Writing Samples
I'm surprised at the number of firms asking for a writing samples. Both of my Legal Research pieces are almost 20 pages though, and the longest memo I have from this summer is 4-5 pages. What is the proper length if nothing is specified?

Most places want <10 pages. If your piece is longer, you can omit a chunk of it, just be sure to note it in the sample so the reader doesn't get confused.

From what I've heard...5 pages double spaced is the norm. Most firms don't want to read that much.
