Job perspectives for 2Ls transferred to YHS
Just finished my 1L and got transferred from NU to YHS,
What are the pros and cons for my job hunting this August? Want to land in NYC BigLaws.
Thanks.

Just a heads up: There is probably only one of you in the country this year, so realize you are not anonymous at all.

I'd definitely target small firms and solo practitioners. Don't expect to get paid next summer.

Transferring into any T6 school makes NYC biglaw a laughably easy goal to attain. I transferred to a CCN and every transfer I know is at V20 and hgher with a bunch of V5 thrown in. My friends who transferred to H had the same level of success, with their pick of top firms.

OP, you might want to read the "V15 Senior Associate/interviewer taking questions" thread. Should be helpful.

Good to hear, about to transfer to NYU from a T30 school. Thanks for the good anecdotal evidence.
