If anyone has any experience with this, it would be much appreciated. I applied for a state court of appeals clerkship, and I received a letter from one of the judges stating that he has not started the interview process yet, and won't for a couple months, but to email him at certain time and let him know if I am still interested. He said by that time he should have an interview schedule in place.
I'm kind of competitive, but not super competitive for the position. Has anyone gotten anything similar? I would assume that it's not a rejection since he had a moment to look over my application, but I could just as easily see it being a form response.
I know it's hard to say, but since I would love to have the job, I'd be interested in people's thoughts.

Re: Clership Question
I'd say he probably hasn't started the interview process yet, but that you should e-mail him at the time he gave you, and he'll probably have an interview schedule in place by then.
