3.75 at NU to NY?
So I'm thinking of targeting NY corporate firms. 2 years of WE experience (not really noticeable) and journal stuff is still pending.
Are there any firms totally out of my reach? V10?
Also have absolutely zero ties--will that be a problem?
Thanks.

You'll be in the running for all of the NY corporate firms coming to OCI. CSM and Sullcrom are probably long shots with unremarkable W/E, probably even more so if you don't get LR.

Are my chances significantly lessened for firms that aren't coming to OCI?

If you're referring to Wachtell, you don't stand much of a chance. I believe that all of the other big NYC firms are coming to OCI. Did you have another firm in mind?Anonymous User wrote:Are my chances significantly lessened for firms that aren't coming to OCI?

No chance at WLRK. You're in the ballpark for the rest of the V10--whether you get one or not will depend more on your interviewing skills than on your GPA.bdubs wrote:If you're referring to Wachtell, you don't stand much of a chance. Well, I didn't really think about Wachtell, but I did notice that Debevoise and Gibson Dunn aren't coming.

Send them an application. I know NU people working at both. I don't think these firms are any harder to get from NU than the V10, it's just that they're not any easier either. As such I think they don't find it worth their while to come here because all the people they offer also get V10 offers.Anonymous User wrote:Well, I didn't really think about Wachtell, but I did notice that Debevoise and Gibson Dunn aren't coming.
