how many screeners on average do you get from your 30 bids?

Re: Columbia EIP
This depends entirely on how you go about bidding. Some people get as few as 10, others get 20+. Not everyone should try and maximize the number of interviews they get out of bidding, though. People with strong grades can afford to bid less tactically and more aggressively (i.e., spend their high bids on selective, but under-bidded firms), since they can rely on their GPA to secure an offer even if they get relatively fewer interviews out of their bids.Anonymous User wrote:how many screeners on average do you get from your 30 bids?

I got 23 from bidding smart and not wasting my bottom bids (i.e. I used lower end bids on underbid firms). I then picked up several screeners from add-drop. However, I've heard that the average number is 12-15 screeners.

Is there any point in listing popular firms in the bottom 20? I.e. firms that you're not crazy about but that have an interview rate of around 30 or 40% - is there any way you would get interviews with those if not in the top 10?

having the answers to the questions in one place will be better than having to search through a dozen threads. Give it a try
