so i've heard nothing from any firms, even though i'm seeing people posting news from firms i've interviewed with. this means that they're just skipping the callback phase with me and going straight to job offers, yes?

It's only been a week since OCI started, everyone talks about (and I think last years thread backs this up) how slow Chicago is. At least 1 firm that I asked about timelines said it would be "2 weeks at the longest" but in my experience, when someone says that, I plan on it taking at least 2 weeks. For funsies, what Chi firms do we know have done CBs?

Jenner, Latham, Schiff, Mayer, Winston...who am I missing?

Is it my imagination, but it seems like this OCI season is worse than last years. A lot of dings where statistically there should be CBs

srsly, Ropes dinged someone at 3.8-3.9? Geeze

Has anyone with a 3.5 or below had any luck at all? I don't even see anyone with below a 3.5 reporting anything on here.

Has DC been murderous or is it just me? I can't seem to get a callback to save my life.

Sorry--I normally just read 3.5-3.6 10 Screeners so far: 6 callbacks, 1 rejections, 3 nothing

CBs in Chicago, Latham, Winston, Chapman, Mayer, Katten

NY: Davis Polk

Rejections--Schiff--not too disappointed about this one (heard they like to no offer a lot of their summers)

You heard back from Katten already? Or did you do your interview someplace else?

You must be IP or something? 3.5 GPA range and you have 6 callbacks in Chicago, one from a firm interviewing today?

Edit: or something else (diversity fair etc.) I just can't buy what you are selling. Especially Mayer at 3.5.

So you are batting like .800 including firms that basically only take high GPAs all with a 3.5 GPA?

Well, I have callbacks from the presidents office. Wants me to take over. 3.5.

edit: really not trying to be a jerk, just find it very hard to believe since I know at least 3 students with much higher GPAs who can't claim any of those firms but interviewed with all of them. The numbers are just impossible. Are you (not trying to be a jerk) "diverse" and/or on Law Review?
