Post by Anonymous User » Fri Jun 08, 2012 3:33 pm

So I am starting my search for a law firm in Chicago to hopefully work for. I've got a nice long list of the most prominent firms in the city, but don't exactly know what each firm specializes in. This is an older list. At least two of the first have had major merger renames.

I did some serious digging, and I think I might have found what they're talking about. (LinkRemoved)

Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw became Mayer Brown in 2007.
Sidley Austin Brown & Wood became Sidley Austin in 2006.
Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal merged with Denton Wilde Sapte to become SNR Denton in 2010.
It's Kaye Scholer, not Kay Scholer.
It's Ungaretti & Harris, not Ungeretti & Harris.
It's mcguirewoods, not McGuire Woods.
Locke, Lord, Bissell & Brook is the wrong name. It was Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell until 2011 and is now simply Locke Lord.

Also, you won't get a job with Bartlit, Beck. Don't waste the app.
