Buy/ Rent Decision
Does anyone buy in their first year in biglaw? I'm currently clerking and will be starting biglaw in the fall in a small, cheap town that's really not even a secondary market. I'll making a second-year's salary on an NYC scale, though. Real estate is insanely cheap compared to big cities, I don't have debt, and interest rates, in general, are really low right now. On the other hand, I will be starting a new job in a town that I've only spent 2.5 months in (during SA). Would buying be a bad decision?

I closed a week before I started last August. No regrets here.
