I have an upcoming interview for a summer research assistant gig. For the most part I'm definitely dressing up, but I'm wondering whether or not I should wear the jacket part of my suit. It's going to be relatively hot, and the interview is on a Friday.

I walked in with a 'sexytime' tshirt and ripped cargo shorts (totally forgot that I had an interview that day and didn't have time to go home and change). Walked out with a summer job. YMMV. These aren't exactly SA positions for big law, although if that professor is known to wear suit to class every day, dressing likewise might be a good idea.

Full suit. Won't hurt to wear one, but might to not wear one. If it ends up being too much, you can always take it off during the interview.
