Lunch w/ mentor - what to wear?
Mtg w/ firm mentor tomorrow. My program starts next week. He is meeting me a couple blocks north of the office and will likely be in biz casual as per office dress code. What should I wear? Are khakis with a shirt acceptable? Should I wear biz casual ,i.e. nicer slacks and a crisper shirt?

Something revealing... but not something too revealing. Show a little skin, but you have to keep a little aura of mystery about you to keep him interested.

May depend slightly on what city you're in, but probably a suit.

Biz Cazh is fine/recommended if that is what the firm is. That being said, the idea that people at the firm care incredibly about dress code is super overblown on this forum at least as far as my experience has been. Follow the basics of biz cashmoney and you'll be fine.

Business casual, at most. Hell, you could probably get away with a polo if the weather is nice enough.
Not a suit. Get that idea out of your head right now.

If this is a junior associate you could probably go straight casual.

+1. Tuxedo all the way. I wouldn't be caught dead in a suit in this situation.holdencaulfield wrote:please...do not wear a suit.

Skinny pants are becoming more popular, so make sure your bulge is tasteful yet enticing.MattThiessen wrote:Something revealing... but not something too revealing. Show a little skin, but you have to keep a little aura of mystery about you to keep him interested.
