rumors had it that some 3L got no-offered by one of the top IP shops in the last month or so. She has disappeared completely from facebook.
under what circumstances would a reputable law firm withdraw one's offer? this would be so unfair.

I don't know anyone in the class of 2012 that this has happened to. Do you know what the reason was for the no offer?

Yeah if it is for HR or C&F issues. Otherwise no.

what HR issues could there be?
I know the person, but not very well. I don't believe she has C & F issues.

Any circumstances it wants. A number of people in my class (2010) were strung along (no offered) or had offers rescinded as late as April.

I know of a non-Dewey 2L "financial" rescission in March of this year at my school, but haven't heard of any 3Ls.
