When doing a cover letter for a judicial internship- if the law clerk is the one requesting the information, should we address the judge or the clerk?

Re: Silly Question
depends really: i'd say write the standard cover letter addressed to the judge and then have a quick less formal letter/note on top saying, Dear Law Clerk, great talking with you here's my application to intern/extern let me know if you need any further information you can contact me here /s.
