New Name
I was going through the article for name change and found two phrases "married name change" and "legal name change". I don't understand the actual difference between these two. Can any-one explain it?

Re: New Name
Married Name Change - When you change your name simply due to getting married
Legal Name Change - When you go by yourself to the court to have your name changed, entirely unconnected with marriage

Yup. Married Name change usually just involves last name changes whereas legal name change can involve both first and last. But yes, rectangles and squares.kaiser wrote:Married Name Change - When you change your name simply due to getting married
