Question for Chicago Biglaw Associates
I'm trying to figure out what my paycheck will look like after IL/US withholdings for the first year for budget purposes, and all those online calculators give me different answers. On the 160K scale in Chicago, what does a first year paycheck come out to be after January 1st of the first full year of practice (assuming no pretax expenses or SS limit)? My best guess puts it around $8700 (monthly), is that about right?
