Stuff Envelopes or Fill In-Boxes?
When soliciting 2L summer SA positions outside of OCI is it better to mail / e-mail / or both? My career services says do what the firm's cite says and if it does not say to directly mail or apply on line then to give a CL in the body of an email and email transcript and resume....thoughts?

Re: Stuff Envelopes or Fill In-Boxes?
I emailed either the recruiting person or, if the firm had none, a named partner in the firm. My first email was never my resume or anything. I always asked if they had a summer program, and if so, were they accepting applications and what the proper application procedure was.
I think you get a better response if you start out like that instead of just dumping your documents on them.
For what it's worth, I had an almost 100% response rate to my emails.

Re: Stuff Envelopes or Fill In-Boxes?
I e-mailed the cover letter as the body and attached my resume and transcript. I ended up with a few callbacks from mass mailing and even an offer from a market firm (which I didn't take).
