Does anyone know much about SCEP? For example, if you get an internship in SCEP, how likely are you to be hired? Thanks.

You used to be very likely to get hired, but the Obama administration has discouraged it due to complaints from government unions and veterans groups who saw it as a backdoor way to evade veterans' preferences and CBAs. But, now with it being phased out, (http://www.federaltimes.com/article/201 ... 80301/1001) and with budget cuts in general, I am hearing that some agencies are having trouble converting their remaining SCEPs to full-time. You still do get to list it as a hiring preference on federal apps though, but I don't think it is worth as much as PMF/Sch. A/ICTAPS
