NYU PILC Fair 2012
I searched the forum and couldn't find any threads about this year's PILC Fair. Anyone who went in recent years have any tips? It's my first year and I'm kind of anticipating chaos.

I've been twice and can tell you that having interviews is much more useful than Table Talk. Table Talk is horrendous when there's a 2-3 student to attorney ratio. It just makes everyone look like idiots.

Related question: are the interviews strictly for summer gigs or more informational? I accepted something already, and I'm wondering if I should withdraw completely or keep a few appointments as a general networking opportunity.

The interviews are for summer positions. It's pretty douchey to keep the slot from someone looking for a job for a "general networking opportunity."j.wellington wrote:Related question: are the interviews strictly for summer gigs or more informational? Yes, withdraw, ASAP. If you want to network, you can always do table talk; that's really more what that's for.

Done. This is my first year going to this and I didn't know the dynamics of the fair. Last thing I'd want to do is deny someone a shot at a summer position.dixiecupdrinking wrote:Yes, withdraw, ASAP. If you want to network, you can always do table talk; that's really more what that's for.
