Just received a summer internship offer from a gov't position (think DOJ, US Attny, Dept of Homeland, DA...etc). I have not yet responded. Will I be given a time frame to accept? Like 2 weeks? Or must I accept immediately? If I accept, and something better comes along, can i renege?
Thanks.

Re: Time Frame for Accepting Summer Internships
Ask them for a timeframe. In my experience they will be nice and give you time.
Generally you shouldn't renege (once you've accepted somewhere you should withdraw from any open apps you have). I guess technically you can do whatever you want, but it's kind of a douche move.
