3.2
3.2 at Michigan; puts me right in the middle as far as I can tell. For 1L SA, I have contacts at a few firms, all of which said "let us know when you have your grades." How should I break the news of my mediocrity?

Re: 3.2
You should break it by not mentioning your mediocrity. Some older lawyers remember grades pre-inflation and will be impressed by a 3.2. Some don't care about grades and just want to see you passed. Some (many) will auto-ding for a 1L SA with poor grades. Some will adjust for going to a T10 and other plus factors and not care. Have an explanation ready if they asked, like how your undergrad major didn't prepare you well for law school exams and you've been meeting with profs to go over exams and improve your performance. But, to paraphase an old saying: better to remain silent and leave in question your stupidity than to open your mouth and prove it beyond doubt.Anonymous User wrote:3.2 at Michigan; puts me right in the middle as far as I can tell.
