Any patent job SA offers for your school?
A dozen of firms I applied referred me to register for Loyola patent career fair this summer. I wonder if many firms also hire 1Ls from Loyola. I know it sounds silly, just want to know. Thanks.

I went last summer, I don't think 1L's can get 1L SA from Loyola due to its structure and time frame (it happens toward the end of summer)

That being said, Loyola was a great opportunity to interview with firms outside the home market of my lawschool. Over 100 biglaw firms were there interviewing last year. It is also a great opportunity to get experience with screening interviews before OCI begins. If you do well, you could have your 2L SA lined up before school begins (one girl from my school, T25, managed to do just this). Although personally, all of my callbacks from Loyola were scheduled around the same time frame as the callbacks from OCI.

But on the plus side Loyola doesn't require anything besides your resume to bid for interviews, so why wouldn't you just apply and see how many bites you get?

TL;DR - People get SA from Loyola, bidding is easy, it's worth the effort
