What is the typical dress code?
I just got a job at a law firm at a undergrad intern. Its about 100 lawyers, 250ish employees. Would that be considered mid-law i guess?But more importantly, what is the usual dress code? The only person i saw was the person who interviewed me and he had a collared shirt with no tie. Is that what i should wear? Or should i go in with a tie and suit just in case?

I would suit up on the first day (or at least wear a tie) and then adjust accordingly after that based on what people say.

Just ask. No one on here can say for sure what the dress code is, and they will probably be happy you care enough to ask what they prefer.

Agreed. First day: Suit. After that: Whatever is the office norm.

Whatever you're comfortable with. I suspect a pen in your pocket is fine: They'll probably put you in an office pretty quickly and it'll have paper and etc.

The real answer is suit first day and then blend in from there.
Really though, it isn't that bad wearing a tie four days a week. If you do, you'll never have to worry about something coming up or being introduced to someone and feeling underdressed in any way. Think of a suit (or blazer) this way: wear jacket from car to desk, leave it off the rest of the day, wear jacket from desk to car.
