Sandusky's first lawyer Joe Amendola went to Penn State undergrad and Georgetown law.
Sandusky's second lawyer Karl Rominger went to Allegheny College undergrad and Dickinson law.

The Penn State board hired Reed Smith to represent them. The lead lawyer is Frank Guadagnino, who went to Penn State undergrad and Pitt law.

Joe Paterno has hired Wick Sollers of King and Spalding
Princeton Undergrad and Maryland JD

What about Penn State? Think they are supporting their own graduates by giving them a shot at a case with national attention?

The board hired Reed Smith to represent them and Reed Smith will decide who it needs to bring into the case in order to fulfill its duty. Penn State, as I understand it, is an instrumentality of Pennsylvania, so I imagine that the AG's office will decide who should handle claims against the university.
