Start Dates
Anyone else that hasn't gotten their start date/ end date from their SA firm yet? It's getting to the point where I need to know for administrative purposes (I need to arrange a move, family members need to know b/c they are getting job offers and need to know start date, etc.) . Should I just email recruiting? What is the latest they will tell us?

I haven't gotten my start dates either. Firm told us they would contact us in December.

Re: Start Dates
If they haven't told you yet, it could be you slipped through the cracks. I would immediately call and also email the on campus recruiter, interviewer, all your interviewers at the firm, and anyone else you have a connection to. Also any alumni of your school who work there. It isn't too late to get back in.

Re: Start Dates
we (at my firm, at least, I don't know about others) get to pick from a bunch of different start and end dates -- what should the rhyme/reason be here?

OP here. No, a different large V50 in NYC. Nice to hear that there's some choice. Someone mentioned May 14th as a start date; I still have finals then.Anonymous User wrote:Any possibility you guys are referring to Cahill?

Re: Start Dates
I haven't heard yet either and I emailed the hiring coordinator in December. Pretty annoying since I'd like to make some plans in May if there's any time between exams and the start date.

Why? We finish classes the same time regardless of what they say and it isn't like anything else in our lives would take priority over their schedule.Anonymous User wrote:Bump. Are people emailing recruiting now?

Re: Start Dates
for those who have gotten their start dates: how did they notify you? by email or mail? I did not get any email notice, and because I am not at school now, so if there was a mail notice, I won't get it until next week.....

Re: Start Dates
I'm thinking about emailing if I haven't heard by the end of the month. I have a wedding to attend out of town over a weekend, and whether I'm working yet or not will impact my travel dates.LawIdiot86 wrote:Why? ETA: But honestly, I am mainly just curious/excited about the summer, and I suspect most others feel the same.

At pretty much every big NYC firm, you're going to have a choice between the 14th, 21st and 29th.
