For example, they have:
Automotive parts salesmen (101 more hours than average, $32,769 per year)
Set and exhibit designers (136 more hours than average, $39,998 per year)
Heavy-truck and tractor-trailer drivers (193 more hours than average, $38,958 per year)
Farm-equipment mechanics (165 more hours than average, $38,139 per year)
Motor vehicle electronic equipment installers and repairers (102 more hours than average, $37,440 per year)
Wonder how they missed the jobs that we're all fighting over.

The article you linked wrote:"To determine the jobs that worked the longest hours for the least pay, we took positions that require at least 2,100 hours each year and excluded those with a pay of $40,000 or more annually," the writers explained.
The BLS wrote: In May 2008, the median annual wages of all wage-and-salaried lawyers were $110,590.

Was this OP supposed to be tongue in cheek?

Re: Jobs with the most work and the least pay
So lets start off with the fact that no firm requires more an average of more than 90 hrs a week and gives 2 weeks of vacation. With a salary of 160K (excluding bonuses) that still adds up to $35 an hour. At an hourly job that gave 40 hours a week and 2 weeks vacation that would be $72k a year. In short, it isn't that bad per hour.

I wasn't referring to the 160k jobs. I was referring to the 40-60k jobs that still require the same amount of work. However, it looks like the thread was a bust. That's ok, I can take it.

Because in reality, most shitlaw jobs don't require the same hours as biglaw jobs. Unless you're solo or something. Because shitlaw revolves a lot more around court schedules.ben4847 wrote:I wasn't referring to the 160k jobs. I was referring to the 40-60k jobs that still require the same amount of work.
