Whats up with the misconception of a "corporate" lawyer?
so ordinary friends ask me, what kind of law are you going to do. I tell them "litigation at a large firm."
then they respond, "oh, i guess you're not doing corporate law, where all the money is." and then they act like they feel bad for me. I'm just like uhhhhh... i have to explain to them that corporate lawyers and litigation lawyers make the same amount (starting) at big law.
am i the only one who meet ordinary people, who have this misconception of "corporate" big law lawyers?
for all you litigation folks, what do you say?

This type of thread is a clear indication that this forum is officially dead for the season.
