Bar Applications
When are you (did you) planning on starting the bar application process? I've heard it can take some time to gather all the required documents.

Not sure what state you all are discussing, but at least for NY it looks like nothing has to be done (or even can be done) until 4/1/12 (or 11/1/11 for the February exam). http://www.nybarexam.org/faq/faq.htm#Deadlines

Yeah it depends on the state, but start early. As a 3L, you don't want to be scurrying to collect all the information while studying for finals, and finishing a paper, and juggling out-of-town guests who came for your graduation. The sooner, the better.
