I didn't get an acceptance gift from either of the firms where I accepted

not common at all - i believe most don't give them out

the ones i've heard of from peers:

1) skadden jacket
2) debevoise ipod shuffle
3) gibson cookies/brownies

I know there are at least 5 more from the big firms but I forgot

My acceptance gift was a "thank you for accepting" letter and phone call from managing partner of office. All I need. I have enough firm swag to last me awhile. No need for more
