ITT We Talk Clerkships

Post by mrloblaw » Sat Oct 22, 2011 5:06 pm

2L beginning the process of thinking about clerking after law school. I thought I'd get the ball rolling on a clerkship thread with a couple of questions of my own. I'm aware that clerking is ultra-competitive, especially in the most desirable courts (2/7/9/D.C. Circuit; SDNY, etc.). How difficult is it to get clerkships in flyover districts for T14 kids with strong local ties? Do those clerkships give a significant boost for post-clerkship employment, or is it significantly less advantageous if you can't get one of the more competitive gigs?
