If they were done interviewing on Thursday or Friday, then there was nothing stopping them from picking the three yesterday and getting on the phone, particularly if those people sealed the deal in person or had unusually strong credentials. But I agree, it is faster than I expected, especially given the relatively impersonal "take notes on a list of questions" style of the interview as opposed to the more conversational, impressionistic biglaw interview style.

But consider me majorly bummed if it's a wrap.
Out of curiosity, are you interviewing for other Honors Programs (DOJ, SEC, etc.)? Those programs are making far more new hires, I think.

Um, SEC hasn't opened AC yet and rumors are it is being canceled or will be in the same 3-5 hire range.

Inside source confirms that offers went out immediately following the close of interviews. They're waiting on background checks, etc., to send out rejections and issue the press release.

Yes. They are waiting on the acceptances/background checks to send out the rejections to the rest of us.

I haven't, but I'd presume any rejection would arrive towards the end of the month.

I haven't either. I'm sure offers went out and were instantly accepted, so why wait?

I haven't heard anything, and honestly expected a ding by now. Delay may be because of processing background checks for offerees; they might not reject anyone until class is confirmed full. Other possibility is budget uncertainty.

3 offers went out. 28/500+ had in-person interviews. No idea on the stats, but I know 5/6 from last year summered/interned at the FDIC as law students.
