Best Strategy for DC Lateralling
So I've got an offer for a summer associate at a big Midwest firm, but NOT in Chicago. My question is, what are my chances of being able to lateral to DC from this type of firm? What things can I do to get myself to DC? I tried for DC this OCI season and ultimately struck out, and now am trying to figure out what I can do to get myself to DC (basically in any legal capacity).

Does the Midwest firm have a non-regulatory office in DC? Does the type of the Midwest firm's work seem similar to the type of work done at big DC firms? More details would be helpful.Anonymous User wrote:So I've got an offer for a summer associate at a big Midwest firm, but NOT in Chicago.
