Do you know if those hired in January/march rec'd similar letters?

Why the big interest in being a Bronx DA? Just curious. Is it a desire to restore order to the Boogie-Down?

It's a really good office to work for from what I hear... You get good cases and trial experience.

Any news from anyone re: Bronx or Queens DA's offices? I just had my 3rd round at Bronx. I had 2nd rounds at Manhattan and Queens in early November, so I hope to hear from them at some point. Are there offers from Bronx out there?

Rumor has it BXDA is having a class of 15-20 in January. It is likely that these are all people that interviewed during 3L and are now still (or I should say were) looking for a job post-grad.

Keep this in mind if you're a 3L and you don't hear back right away after your third round. As long as you don't get a rejection, you're still in the running!

Anyone get an offer as a result of 3rd-round interview on Jan 3rd, 2013 yet? Thanks!
Those new hires mentioned in the last few posts were announced last week!

I'm the anon who posted that 15-20 were being hired.

Take that to heart, if you haven't received a rejection, even this time next year, you could still get an offer. There are various rumors of whether there will be a March class, so we're just going to have to wait and see. It sounds like most of the calls for the January class went out in December.

Good luck everyone, if you have any questions just ask.

Has anyone in the 2014 hiring class gotten a 3rd round yet?

I have, but it was for the January class. They might be moving slower with the Fall 2014 class.

I am really hoping to hear about a third round soon. Had my second round about 3 weeks ago and have not heard anything yet. Does anyone know if those third rounders are getting offers on the spot? Anyone gotten a rejection from Bronx after their second round??

FYI - i am speaking for the Sept hiring class, not Jan.

From my understanding they are only offering jobs on the spot to the January class, not the Sept. class.

I just got an offer on Wednesday (Dec. 11) for the September class. It was not on the spot, but it was within 24 hours of my third round.

Congrats on the offer! I had my third round two weeks ago. I was hoping to have heard by now and if they are handing out offers that fast I'm starting to worry that it doesn't look good for me

What kind of deadline did they give when you received the offer?

During my second interview, they made it seem like third round interviews will be ideally done before christmas but not necessarily offers..
Unfortunately, I'm still waiting to hear back after round 2.

It was fast (5 minutes). He asked a few questions from my file (statement of interest, résumé, etc.), and was congenial and interested. Joseph Ferdenzi (Bureau Chief of Appeals) and Maria Rivero (Administrative Assistant District Attorney) were also there and asked a few questions as well.

They gave me about two weeks to get back to them with a decision.
