2012 PMF Applicants
Hi all! I received my invite to take the online PMF assessment yesterday. Anyone else in the same boat? I heard the assessment is pretty difficult to do well on.

Re: 2012 PMF Applicants
Sup dawg. I heard the assessment was pretty weird, although I haven't heard so much about difficulty.

Got nominated, but haven't gotten an invite for the assessment. Can't think of any reason why I wouldn't qualify. Any ideas? Anyone else know they were nominated but not get an invite?

Re: 2012 PMF Applicants
Does your Application Manager show the nomination was entered in the system? Does the checklist show that all required docs were submitted? If so and you haven't heard from them, then there must have been some disqualifer that prevented you from even being considered.Anonymous User wrote:Got nominated, but haven't gotten an invite for the assessment. Has anybody been selected as a semi-finalist yet? I believe we find out by November 1st.

I haven't heard anything yet. I wonder if everyone finds out yes or no on November 1st or if the people that made it to the next round find out a little sooner? I guess we just have to wait a few more days.

Re: 2012 PMF Applicants
Status changed this morning in Application Manager from Awaiting Results to Complete, but no indication if I passed.

Re: 2012 PMF Applicants
Anecdotal evidence from past years shows that status changes mean that we should be getting results tomorrow or Monday (which we were all expecting anyway). Mine also says complete now, but I don't remember it saying anything different. When I go into the "details" section of assessments, though, my writing assessment says "no results yet."
Also, we all get emails around the same time on the same day, regardless if we got it or not.

Hearing tomorrow would make my weekend so much better. Either celebrating or having the time to apply elsewhere.Anonymous User wrote:Anecdotal evidence from past years shows that status changes mean that we should be getting results tomorrow or Monday (which we were all expecting anyway). Me too on the writing test. I was double checking for grammar/spelling, and I'm pretty sure I was in the middle of changing a word when the timer stopped on me. Not even sure I typed out the entire word. AWESOME.

Re: 2012 PMF Applicants
It's really strange that we haven't heard anything yet. Although, if I remember correctly, it seems like emails last year got sent out in the middle of the night, so maybe we will get news in a few hours.
Post updates on TLS if you hear anything!
Edit: Yes, they did find out at night time last year: http://pmfellow.blogspot.com/2010/10/pm ... 11-is.html
Makes sense; they probably don't want to get bombarded with phone calls. This will be a fun evening.

QFT. No idea how that assessment weeds out anything but the crazies.prezidentv8 wrote: Sample Question B:

Also, looks like today is still the day. From the PMF Facebook page:
We are still on schedule to notify applicants by November 1. Applicants will receive a Notice of Results email at the address they used to apply. This notice will also be available in your Application Manager account. The External Assessment listing in Application Manager corresponds to the On-line Assessment. The PMF Program Office does not maintain application records, so please do not call with specific inquiries. Specific questions regarding an application should be sent to pmfapplication@opm.gov.

Its crazy they can cut the applicants from 9000 to 1,500 based on that crazy personality test.

The account manager notice will probably show up simultaneously with the e-mail being sent, like the acknowledgement e-mail....right?
