#1 Gig in Miami?
My friends were having an argument over drinks about this. I was wondering if you could settle it.
What do you guys think the #1 gig in Miami is for a graduating law student?
(Part of the bet is that I can't reveal our respective choices, but I will at the end...)
Thanks!

This isn't possible straight out of law school. They don't take graduates.Cavalier wrote:Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.

Ok, but since the thread is Miami specific, that is a nice but irrelevant fact.Cavalier wrote:There are occasionally entry level AUSA positions, I believe. I would fear death from Columbian drug cartel. Might want to take that into account.Cavalier wrote:Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.

6 votes is kind of pathetic. C'mon people! Both our opinions are up in the poll. Settle this for us!

Isn't market in Miami 130? Do any of them start at 160? Not that pay is the deciding factor, but it's a consideration.Anonymous User wrote:6 votes is kind of pathetic. C'mon people! Both our opinions are up in the poll. Settle this for us!
Edit: Sorry just saw above post about pay. Fail. Should start reading threads before posting.

Re: #1 Gig in Miami?
I think the answer has to incorporate what this said law student wants to do. If they want to stay in florida long term i think the florida-based firms like GT are probably the best route. However if they want to do NY work or go elsewhere eventually, then a firm like weil or boies makes more sense.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
