At every CB I had, recruitment always says to inform them if you get offers and have deadlines. Has followed up after the CB letting them know of an impending offer, and then the firm quickly responded with an offer?
Also, what are your thought about this helping your "marketability" in the the firm sees that other people want you too. Can it hurt?

This is why I wish TLS had that green squiggly line from MS Word, to suggest that we "consider revising," when we write a sentence that is not actually in English.Anonymous User wrote:Has followed up after the CB letting them know of an impending offer, and then the firm quickly responded with an offer?

Sorry, let's not be pretentious. "has anybody followed...."Heartford wrote:This is why I wish TLS had that green squiggly line from MS Word, to suggest that we "consider revising," when we write a sentence that is not actually in English.Anonymous User wrote:Has followed up after the CB letting them know of an impending offer, and then the firm quickly responded with an offer?

Yes. This happened to me with one of the two firms I called back to let them know of the offer. With the other, radio silence for two weeks, then a snail mail reject. So I think it can make them move faster on a decision they'd have maybe made anyway, but won't change their minds substantively. FWIW

Would it be alright to refrain from saying which firm you had on offer from?
I'm wondering since I have an offer from a lower tier firm than some of my other radio-silence CBs

Re: updating recruiting with offers
Whenever I updated the recruiter on an offer, I never said which firm. It's mostly just a question of timing for the recruiter. I ended up contacting two firms' recruiters to let them know I had an outstanding offer. The recruiters never directly responded to that email, but I got my decision from the firms within a couple days. One offer and once rejection.Anonymous User wrote:Would it be alright to refrain from saying which firm you had on offer from?
