No one knows anything about any firm movement here? I figured some UNLV people would be chiming in for sure.

If you start day-dreaming about what it'd be like as a recruiting partner at a BigLaw firm in Las Vegas, pre ITE, and trying to recruit students with all of Vegas at your fingertips ---- then you could have a pretty awesome daydream.

Two CB's with LV firms in September, two offers. Accepted one a couple of weeks ago.

Vegas is in pretty bad shape. Why do you want to go there? If you have TLS stats, I don't see why you'd go to Las Vegas and take the substantial pay cut. Also, if you start at a Vegas firm and you get canned, you won't have the exit options that you'd have if you went to a real biglaw or midlaw firm.

You're making a lot of assumptions. Not everyone goes to a T-14 school and makes $160,000 a year. It's a job, in this market, with a very good firm and with pay that is extremely competitive for the market my school is in. Plus it's one of the only two offers I had. Maybe you have a bunch of offers from different markets, but considering people from T6 are getting no offered I feel pretty good about the job I'm going to have.Anonymous User wrote:Vegas is in pretty bad shape.
