Currently have multiple offers from firms that pay a good deal more than the DA's office but while firm work is interesting, my real passion has always been criminal law.
If stats matter, I am top 20% with a secondary journal at a lower end T1 that places very well in it's market. I am chasing the money at firms because of student loans, but would really like a chance to work as an ADA once the loans are paid off in 5-7 years. 10 years ago this was really easy to do, but with how bad the economy is now is there a chance I can go from firm work to the DA's office or will they not take me because working for a firm shows no commitment to public interest?
