offer was a mistake?

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Sep 06, 2011 6:14 pm

Just received a COMPLETELY unexpected offer from a major west coast firm. Because my stats are not outstanding, I have no ties to the area, and my CB was super awkward, I can't help but feel this is a mistake. Has anyone heard of this happening? Offer was via phone call.

Maybe it was one of your friends playing a practical joke on you?

It was a mistake. You should probably decline it preemptively.

This is a great idea. I know how I'm going to spend my next couple weeks...

Call the firm and tell them it was a mistake and that they should give the position to the rightful candidate

This literally would be the meanest thing you could do to a law student.

If you have the stats/qualifications I don't see why you should be so quick to say it was a mistake.

Was it a California firm? If so, it's likely that you've been had. You see, the California Republic follows the Ursidaen calendar (as opposed to the Gregorian one) and, as such, observes April Fools' Day on September 6.

Why has nobody started a "rejection was a mistake?" thread?
