Missed Callback Phone Call
I missed the phone call last tuesday where a firm offered me a callback. Didn't hear the message until today (there was no new message or missed call notification on my phone). Should I call the recruiter today and leave a voicemail apologizing for the delay. Call tomorrow morning? Just wait to call until Tuesday and explain then?

I think you should call right now and leave a message. Then call tuesday.

^ +1. You don't have to explain anything. Just say I got your call and I accept, over voicemail, and call back on Tuesday to confirm.

+1 on call now, but I would definitely apologize for the delay or explain. Otherwise, you seem like you don't care that much about the opportunity.Eco wrote:^ +1. You don't have to explain anything. Just say I got your call and I accept, over voicemail, and call back on Tuesday to confirm.

Apologize for the delay yes, but explaining IMO is never good.

"Sorry for the delay, I just got your message. I would absolutely love the opportunity to come interview at your office. The following days work for me. Thanks again."
Easy, stop worrying.

Usually all they tell you is a number to call and schedule, just call that number, no one will ever know.
